Collaborations that turn innovation into real-world applications
E-Lectra supports companies, industrial groups and institutions
in the development of advanced power electronics, energy storage
and control platforms for critical applications.
Flagship programs
Experience in strategic programs for defence, energy and industrial automation
E-Lectra contributes to programs in naval defence, energy
infrastructure, industrial automation, electric mobility and
technology collaborations with power electronics, battery-system,
embedded-control and electric-drive expertise.
Naval defence
U212 NFS program
E-Lectra provides engineering support to Power4Future, the joint
venture between Fincantieri and FAIST, within the
Italian Navy’s U212 NFS (Near Future Submarine)
program, contributing to the development of the next generation
of submarines. In this context, E-Lectra is involved in the
design and validation of electronic solutions, power conversion
systems, and technologies for next-generation lithium battery
energy storage systems intended for high-reliability,
mission-critical naval applications.
Energy infrastructure
Medium-voltage, high-power SiC converters for energy infrastructures
Innovative SiC-based Power Electronic Building Blocks (PEBBs)
for high-power applications, delivering superior efficiency,
power density and scalability for strategic energy
infrastructures, while enabling advanced solutions such as
Solid-State Transformers (SSTs), MVDC/HVDC grids, and energy
storage and conversion systems.
Industrial automation
ITEMA Group partnership
Collaborates on the development of high-performance inverters
for textile-machinery automation systems.
Electric mobility
PowerizeD project
Within the Infineon-coordinated European PowerizeD project,
E-Lectra contributed technologies for modular, bidirectional EV
charging infrastructure, focusing on SiC-based intelligent power
modules integrated into 800 V / 25 kW DAB architectures for
high-power charging stations with V2G capability.
Semiconductors and control
Shared laboratory with STMicroelectronics
The collaboration with STMicroelectronics combines applied
research and industrial development within a shared laboratory
in Cassino, focused on advanced control platforms, including
AI-based approaches, for high-efficiency power converters and
next-generation BMS architectures.
Industrial partners
An ecosystem of industrial partners
We collaborate with major industrial groups, institutions,
universities and research centres on the development of advanced
technologies for energy, mobility, defence and automation.
